Two teens remanded for Larnaca punch-up
Larnaca district court issued eight-day remand orders against two 18-year-olds on Tuesday in connection with a punch-up in Larnaca on August 28, during which three were injured, one critically who was and subsequently intubated.
The suspects are facing charges of conspiracy to commit a crime, grievous bodily harm and actions aiming at causing grievous bodily harm.
At 3.30am on August 28, police were notified that three people had been taken to Larnaca general hospital in private cars.
A 30-year-old was then taken to Nicosia general hospital and intubated in critical condition while two others, aged 21 and 28, were wounded and admitted to Larnaca hospital for treatment.
Investigations indicated that two hours earlier there had been a brawl in Kalogreon street in Larnaca, during which three people were injured.
In the early hours of Tuesday, police arrested the two 18-year-olds and took them before the Larnaca district court, which issued eight-day remand orders.
The brawl had been attributed to professional differences.
