BTS Member RM to Release 'Right People, Wrong Place' Solo Documentary - Premiere & Film Details Revealed!

RM is getting a solo documentary!

The 29-year-old BTS member will be the subject of RM: RIGHT PEOPLE, WRONG PLACE, CJ 4DPLEX and HYPE announced Tuesday (September 3).

The film, to be premiered at the 29th BUSAN International Film Festival (BIFF), was officially invited to the “Open Cinema” section of the festival and will be screened outdoors at the Busan Cinema Center and will have a global theatrical release later in 2024, with ticket sales details for the BIFF screening still to come.

The documentary captures the making of his second solo album Right Place, Wrong Person, which was released in May 2024. Director Lee Seokjun, who also produced BTS bandmate j-hope‘s music videos “Arson” and “MORE,” directed the film.

Here’s a plot summary: “Produced by HYBE, the film explores the candid journey of BTS’ leader RM as he navigates the complexities of being a global superstar and the person Kim Namjoon (RM’s given name). Primarily set in the locations where RM intensely worked on his album, director Lee Seokjun takes viewers on a journey through Seoul, Tokyo and London, offering an in-depth look at the creative process behind RM’s second solo album.”

Tickets for the ‘Open Cinema’ session at the BUSAN International Film Festival can be purchased through the festival’s official website and mobile app BIFF. Tickets will be available online and through mobile ticketing. Detailed information on ticket sales and events will be announced later on the official website of the BUSAN International Film Festival, BTS channels, and the official website www.rmrpwp.com. A special poster has been released to commemorate the occasion, which is exclusive to the film festival as well.
