Man’s body found on beach near ‘Millionaires’ Row’ in Hove

The body of a man has been found on the beach near Hove’s secluded ‘Millionaire’s Row’.

His remains were found by a passerby off the shore of Western Esplanade, a private cul-de-sac that backs onto Shoreham Harbour, just before 4pm.

Officers have been directing people away at the edge of the beach, The Argus reported.

The stretch of homes at the end of the Western Lawns is home to celebrities including DJ Fatboy Slim, who owns two multi-million-pound homes.

Paul McCartney, Adele and David Walliams have also called the street home, according to the historical blog Hove in the Past.

The police said: ‘Enquiries are ongoing to identify the man and establish the full circumstances of the incident.’
