John Mayer Proves He’s the Sweetest Uncle in the World While on the Red Carpet With ‘His Mini Publicist’

John Mayer may still be the 2000s heartthrob that we had posters of in our bedrooms, but along with that, he’s also known as a doting uncle! While many may not know about his family-oriented side, now, longtime fans can see what kind of uncle he is to his niece; and it’s cuter than you imagine.

On Sept 2, the official US Open account shared a truly darling video of Mayer and his niece, also known as “His mini publicist ????????,” as they put in the caption, making their way to the event together.

In the super-sweet video, we see Mayer’s niece asks him if she can be in some photos, and Mayer happily agrees. In response, she giddily runs to him to go on the red carpet (well, blue carpet). He tells her to “Come on” as they hold hands and make their way to the blue carpet.

While walking on the carpet, he told her, “We’ll do some with me, and we’ll do some without me…,” then he pointed to her joking with the photographers, saying, “this is my publicist.” Then, they smile together, and pose on the carpet while holding hands! How sweet!

While Mayer has no children of his own, he is a proud uncle. Now, he has three siblings, Rachel Mayer, Carl Mayer, and Ben Mayer, and it’s unclear how many nieces or nephews he has. But we do know his brother Carl welcomed a daughter, whose name no one has publicly disclosed; and it’s clear John adores his lil niece!
