Swell to play with
Hello Friends,
There were head high sets for the early risers on Wednesday morning. A light and chilly NW breeze was texturing the 2 metre, 11- second SSE swell which looked to be reasonably consistent. Tide was filling in to the 0850, 1.44 metre high tide on what the Bureau tells us will be a mostly sunny day with a high of 23.
The energy should the around all morning, but the Bureau tells us that the wind tells us the wind will move more to the north as it picks up into the 15-25 kt range, so surface conditions won’t be improving.
With luck, there’ll be a little energy left for us tomorrow morning, but it then from what the swell models were showing this morning, it seems likely that we’re heading into marginal, short-period swell energy levels for at least 3-4 days. So get in asap if you can!
Go well one and all.
Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the state is bringing settled conditions. Winds will turn northerly and freshen today as the high moves to the Tasman Sea. Another trough looks set to enter the far southern coastal waters on Friday before moving across the southern and central coastal waters during the weekend, bringing a southerly wind change in its wake.
