Radical Abortion Activists Have Raised $48 Million to Legalize Abortions Up to Birth in Florida

Not a surprise but worth mentioning. “Floridians Protecting Freedom,” the coalition between the pro-abortion Amendment 4, “banks another $987,000,” according to the News Service of Florida. “That included $700,000 from Planned Parenthood of South, East and North Florida.”

It made that haul between August 16 and August 23, according to newly filed finance report. But that just part of the huge amount raised by the coalition:

The committee had raised a total of $47.99 million since being formed last year and had spent about $24.38 million as of Aug. 23.

This November Floridians will vote on a ballot initiative titled “Right to Abortion Initiative.” Unlike many other states which require only a simple majority, Florida requires 60% approval.

The RTA initiative would amend Florida’s constitution to state, “[e]xcept as provided in Article X, Section 22, no law shall prohibit, penalize, delay, or restrict abortion before viability or when necessary to protect the patient’s health, as determined by the patient’s healthcare provider.”

According to Florida Right to Life

Amendment 4 is meant to deceive. It would guarantee unlimited abortions through birth, remove parental consent, and subject our minor girls to sexual abuse. Every protective law will be nullified as healthcare and safety standards will be eliminated. Women will be harmed, and pregnancy centers will be targeted. The next step may be to force taxpayers to pay for abortions.

If you doubt this assertion, check out what happened in the states that have already passed these radical amendments.

As a result of Prop 3 in Michigan, the pro-abortion organizations are suing and accusing the state of not fully implementing Prop 3. They are suing to force taxpayers to fund abortions. This is exactly what will occur in Florida if Amendment 4 passes. In Kansas, all their protective laws were struck down: no more licensed clinics, no limits on painful late term abortion, no physician requirement, no informed consent, and no waiting period.

The good news is that the latest polls show much more encouraging numbers. As reported in The Floridian, “A new poll conducted by NextGen Polling and Life First PC, taken between August 23rd and 26th, polled 1,664 likely voters. From those polled, 54.3% support the initiative, 25.8% oppose it, and 19% were undecided.”
