I tried utan’s coconut tanning WATER mist – it’s perfect for busy girls & requires no effort

I’LL be honest, I’m not a massive fan of fake tan.

Whether it’s using self-tan, or getting a professional spray tan, it’s just not my thing.

I’m not keen on the “fake tan smell” that seems to linger on clothes and bedsheets, not to mention that it also leaves annoying stains on your outfits as it rubs off throughout the day.

I also feel like it requires a lot of effort – you need to make sure it’s done early enough that you have time to shower off the excess.

Even the instant fake tan needs time to set and dry so it doesn’t leave you looking streaky if it smudges, and, really, who always has the time?

But I have to admit, that has all changed after I tried utan’s Coconut Tanning Water mist.

I used the mist for the first time and was totally taken aback by how easy and incredible it was.

Not only does it smell incredible with coconut tones and nothing like “fake tan”, but it also requires next to no effort.

All you need to do is spray it on your face and wait for it to build up gradually over four hours – that’s it!

Just make sure the bottle is six to eight inches away from your face and avoid spraying on the hairline.

As someone who could never be bothered with the effort or grief of having to plan out when to get a tan, this was a complete game-changer.

I was also incredibly impressed at the colour – it makes your skin look like it’s had a gorgeous, golden, sun-kissed glow.

It makes your skin look naturally glowing, as though you’ve spent a few hours in the sun, rather than having that darker, orange-tinted colour that you would normally get from wearing a fake tan.

At £20 a bottle, it is also incredibly healthy for your skin as it has real coconut extracts and is infused with vitamins.

And because it’s colourless, it means there’s no stains! even when it rubs off onto other materials (like a pillowcase) there are no marks left behind.

I tried it before I went to bed when I didn’t have any make-up on, but you can actually use it as a primer if you’ve already started getting ready or finished your skincare routine.

I also have sensitive skin and it leaves it feeling smooth and soft after using it, so I have worries about it being dry a few hours later.

The mist has scooped three prestigious beauty awards after shaking up the self-tan world and is described as “a revolution in face tanning”.

It was the winner of the Cosmopolitan Beauty Awards, the OK! Beauty Awards and the Pure Beauty Awards.

This tanning mist has completely changed the way I look at fake tan, I no longer need to worry about having a dark face that leaves my bedsheets and pillowcases covered in little marks.

It’s made it super easy for me to have a sun-kissed glow that looks natural without having to put in any effort.
