‘You are bottom of the barrel’ people slam mum for going to Disney World alone & boasting it means she can booze
A MOTHER has come under fire for bragging about taking a solo to Disney World without her children.
Madalyn Jade Monaghan faced a barrage of backlash after leaving her kids behind and enjoying the cult favourite attraction on her own.
Earlier this summer, in August, the 30-year-old posted a clip of herself crying while hugging her son with the caption: ”When the Mom guilt hits because you’re going to Disney without the kids.”
The footage then cuts to a clip of the young parent dancing and sipping on a refreshing cocktail, as she was posing with the iconic Minnie Mouse ears.
”But then you remember why you booked a trip without the kids,” Madalyn chuckled.
But although the Disney super fan may have had the best time in the magic kingdom theme park, the post received mixed reactions online, with critics questioning the mother’s decision to ditch her children.
”Who leaves their kids at home to go hang out with thousands of other children,” wrote one person.
”Leave the kids to just go to a family destination surrounded by other kids, um weird,” thought another.
”Disney adults are truly bottom of the barrel,” a third chimed in.
But not everyone saw an issue with Madalyn’s choice to enjoy some time away from her family, as others raced to hit back at the haters.
”Get it girl. Hope you had a blast,” said one supportive who reckoned the mum could do as she pleased.
A second said: ”I’m a firm believer in making memories with your children but also, you must have vacations without them.
”They will one day grow up and experience their own vacations.
”And traveling with children is expensive and emotionally and physically taxing that it never feels like a vacation.”
The mother, who claims to be a ”Disney specialist”, justified the solo trip by insisting her children have been to the tourist hotspot on several occasions and claimed her vacation was a work trip.
Madalyn, who has more than 4k followers on her page, shut the critics by saying the rollercoasters she enjoyed were too big for her kids and boasted about boozing way more than she would have if her kids were with her.

”I’m a Disney travel agent, so while I did have fun and play, this was also a work trip.
”Not to mention, it’s August, it’s hot. Not a time of year I’d normally recommend for little ones.
”I did all this to better help my clients and their families on their vacations,” the mum said in another video.
”I love taking family vacations to Disney and I do 99% of the time! BUT every now and then it’s SO NICE to let loose and be a kid without the kids!”
