Urgent hunt for woman not heard from for two weeks after phone call with friend

A desperate search for a 23-year-old has been launched after she went missing two weeks ago.

Jordan Bannister was last seen on the High Street area of Jarrow, South Tyneside, on the afternoon of August 23.

Northumbria Police said she had been talking to a friend over the phone but has not been heard from since.

She is described as a white woman around 5ft 9 inches of slim build with straight brown hair.

She also wears glasses and has a nose and tongue piecing.

Jordan has links to South Tyneside as well as Southwest London and she could have travelled there using public transport.
