Latest Brotherhood Podcast: DJ Steward And Marques Bolden
Another solid episode anchored by CFOS.
Duke Basketball has done a lot of smart things over the years and a lot of innovative things too. Consider the Brotherhood for one, which was great branding. And consider also Pro Devils Weekend, which brings former Blue Devils back to campus to mingle with the current team and potential future Brotherhood Members.
A lot of people came in for this this past weekend, including Dereck Lively, fresh off of an incredibly impressive rookie season in the NBA, Shane Battier, Mark Williams and others.
Also on campus were DJ Steward and Marques Bolden, who are the guests for the newest Brotherhood Podcast.
When asked about the event, Steward said this: “It’s what you come here for. To be a part of The Brotherhood, and being able to connect, and then see how their journeys were, and to see where they are now, making that transition after being a pro and everything. So it’s dope to have that, be in this environment.“
And they both said they’re coming back next year, too.
By the way, props to Caleb Foster, who has really grown into his role as host. He seems like a naturally quiet and reserved person and when they transitioned the host role from Ryan Young to Foster, we weren’t sure he was the right choice.
He’s turned out to be a great host and it’s pushed him into a leadership role, which he’ll need to embrace this year anyway. So an inspired choice as it turns out.
