Govt signs peace deal with 2 Tripura groups

The central and Tripura governments have signed the 12th peace agreement with two insurgent groups, aiming to end violence in the northeastern state. Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced that over 328 armed cadres will surrender, and a special package of ₹250 crore has been approved for tribal development.
