Three Tottenham stars named in WhoScored Team of the Month

Cristian Romero, Pedro Porro and Son Heung-min have all been named in WhoScored’s Team of the Month for August.

Tottenham just have four points on the board after their three games but they will feel that they deserved a lot more, having utterly dominated all three of those matches.

If the Lilywhites had been a little more clinical and ruthless in the final third, they could quite easily be sitting near the top of the table with nine points.

That is now backed up by the numbers, with Tottenham having the joint most number of players (alongside Arsenal) in WhoScored’s Team of the Week.

Porro makes it in at right-back with a rating of 7.61, while Romero and Son also find themselves in the eleven with ratings of 7.84 and 8.11 respectively.

The other eight spots in the team are taken by David Raya, William Saliba, Antonee Robinson, Bukayo Sake, Cole Palmer, Kevin De Bruyne, Luis Diaz, and Erling Haaland.

Yves Bissouma and Micky van de Ven might have also stood a decent chance of making this team had they not missed one game each.

This is further proof that Tottenham’s performance levels have been quite good so far this season even though the results have not gone our way.
