Albany restaurant sets opening date for new location
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Albany Ale & Oyster is getting ready to open in it's new space on New Scotland Avenue. The restaurant is moving just down the street from 281 New Scotland Avenue to 289 New Scotland Avenue, which is the former Restaurant Navona space.
The restaurant posted on Facebook that it will be opening in its new location on Friday, September 6. Albany Ale & Oyster closed in its old location on August 25 to make the move.
"We are essentially tripling our space and have a much larger bar," owner Mia Hinners previously told NEWS10. "With the addition of a raw bar and use of a wood-fired oven and larger kitchen, we hope to elevate our menu including wood-fired meats and seafood and a weekend brunch. We will also have space for private parties and events."
Albany Ale & Oyster is a tasting room, bottle shop, and eatery. The food menu includes seafood, sandwiches, salads, brats, and more. In the new space, the restaurant will also be expanding its hours.
Hinners said they are keeping the space at 281 New Scotland Avenue for a new concept. The plans for the old space have not been announced yet.
