6 arrested, including 3 juveniles, following shots fired call near Kensington

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- Six arrests were made Tuesday, including three juveniles, following a shots fired call near Kensington Avenue in Buffalo, police announced.

Officers responded around 8:30 p.m. to a shots fired call at Kensington and Thatcher Avenues, police said. Upon arrival, officers said they were told that a 15-year-old boy allegedly fired a shot at his father as he attempted to run away from him.

Officers tracked the juvenile to a home on Crossman Avenue with the assistance of an Erie County Sheriff's helicopter. Four weapons were recovered at the home and six males were arrested, according to police.

The recovered weapons were a loaded Taurus GZC, a loaded, defaced M&P Shield, a loaded Beretta APX, and a loaded, defaced AR Pistol.

The 15-year-old boy was charged with one count of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and one count of reckless endangerment.

The other five, a 16-year-old male, a 17-year-old male, 18-year-old Malik Laporte, 18-year-old James Paige and 20-year-old Timothy Clemons, all of Buffalo, were charged identically with three counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
