Alison Brie Joins Live Action 'Masters of the Universe' Movie, Will Play a Villain

Alison Brie is headed to the Mattel cinematic universe!

The 41-year-old Apples Never Fall star has joined the cast of the upcoming live action feature adaptation, Masters of the Universe, THR reveals.

Alison joins previously announced Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man and Camila Mendes as Teela.

As to who Alison will be portraying, she has reportedly been cast as the villain Evil-Lyn, who is “Skeletor’s second-in-command and uses a wand with a crystal orb to practice the dark arts.”

Plot details for Masters of the Universe are largely being kept under wraps, but it is said to center “on the character of Prince Adam (Galitzine) of Eternia who, thanks to his Power Sword, turns into the muscular He-Man and is imbued with superhuman strength and abilities. With his assortment of allies, he defends the planet from the evil Skeletor and his armies.”

Bumblebee‘s Travis Knight is set to direct from a final script by Kubo and the Two StringsChris Butler.
