Fuckup Nights hold second event in Limassol

Fuckup Nights, a global movement and a series of events where industry leaders share their failure stories, are opening the autumn season in Limassol with their second event. Fuckup Nights Limassol Vol. 2 will take place on Tuesday at Gazebo Mare featuring four speakers.

“By organising Fuckup Nights series in Limassol, we aim to inspire the Cyprus community to learn from their mistakes, establish a safe environment for people to speak openly about their path to success, and bring bold, like-minded people together,” say Maria Sibirtseva and Alla Reveko. “With every event, we plan to grow in scale and reach a wider community. In September, we’ll host 200+ people and introduce four speakers from different backgrounds: real estate development and event organisation, AI-powered projects, and creative agencies.”

One of the speakers of the event is Stylianos Lambrou, founder and CEO of Heart Group, co-founder of Reflect Festival and TechIsland. He embarked on his entrepreneurial journey at a remarkably young age, founding his first company at 19. Despite graduating from prestigious institutions like UCL and the University of Cambridge, Stylianos chose to return to Cyprus during the financial crisis. Today, he runs the Heart Group, which is committed to revitalising communities through restoring historic buildings and other innovative commercial projects across Cyprus.

Natallia Miranchuk, founder and CEO of Soula will also speak at the event. For over 17 years, she’s been working on maternity and female wellbeing projects. When introducing new-born photography to different countries, she realised how much parents and families needed emotional support to feel better and more confident about new experiences. She’s built an educational platform for pregnancy, birth and postpartum and gained over 250,000 female followers in two years. Natallia also went through her personal challenges as a mother, from an infertility diagnosis to postpartum depression, finding the inner strengths to recover and more further. In 2022, she moved to Cyprus and brought this experience together to launch Soula, the first safe and compassionate AI for pregnancy and maternity. Later, it converted into a female well-being app to prevent burnout, depression and reduce anxiety.

Another speaker is Martin Zarian, co-founder of Factory 39, Balabook, and the host of the Made in Cyprus podcast. He’s an award-winning full-stack brand builder who has worked with global giants like FIFA and Coca-Cola, as well as local start-ups, helping them build powerful brands and innovative digital products. With a passion for branding, design and purpose-driven strategy, Martin has dedicated his career to engineering brands that resonate deeply with their audiences and help teams achieve their goals – all while having fun along the way.

Last of the speakers is Ivan Sysoev, Chief AI Officer at Quadcode. He oversees the implementation of AI products and features that improve customer experience and internal process efficiency. Using his passion for mathematics and public speaking, Ivan demystifies the hype behind AI and explains complex concepts in a simple manner.

Though still in its early stages in locally, Fuckup Nights has a growing community internationally with events happening in 66 countries and mentions in media outlets such as Forbes, New Yorker, Huffington Post and the BBC.
