TN govt ties up with IIT-Madras for noise mapping study

The Tamil Nadu government, partnering with IIT Madras, will conduct a noise mapping study in cities exceeding one million residents, starting with Chennai. This initiative aims to identify noise sources and recommend mitigation measures against rising urban noise pollution. The state pollution control board expects an initial report within three months.
