However, both of the long-running soaps will be pulled off the airwaves at different points in the coming week.

On the September 13, the National Television Awards will be broadcast live from London’s O2 Arena.

Joel Dommett will take to the stage at the star-studded awards ceremony which celebrates the best of British TV.

The stars will take their seats in the auditorium as the show begins at 8pm and it will carry on until at least 10:35pm.

However, this means that Coronation Street has been pulled from the schedule to make room.

Emmerdale has also undergone a shakeup as the Yorkshire-based soap has been taken off air the day before.

Tuesday’s edition of the ITV serial drama has been replaced by coverage of the UEFA Nations League.

Unlike Corrie however, an episode will air on Wednesday before the 2024 NTA’s.

At the highly-anticipated ceremony, huge shows will go head to head in the public vote.

Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley‘s This Morning will battle against the likes of The Repair Shop and Loose Women for the daytime TV crown.

Bridgerton, Call The Midwife, Trigger Point, Vera, and The Crown are all nominated in the prestigious returning drama category.

Ant and Dec face stiff competition in the presenter category as they fight off a challenge from the likes of Bradley Walsh, Alison Hammond, and Stacey Solomon.

Their biggest competition could be Claudia Winkleman after receiving widespread praise for The Traitors.

Clarkson’s Farm also received a nomination in the factual entertainment category while Kaleb Cooper is among the nominees for best expert.
