How to play co-op and multiplayer PVP in Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2

While Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 is mainly about the story, providing some interesting lore on the franchise, and killing millions of Tyranids, you can experience the game with others.

Whether this through comradery via co-op or battling against others in PVP, this added layer to the game will keep you hooked for some time.

It’s not made clear how to gain access right away though so here, we’ll reveal how to unlock multiplayer in Space Marine 2.

How to play multiplayer in Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2

When you boot up Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 for the first time, you might want to head straight into some co-op or multiplayer PVP.

Sadly, this isn’t possible and there is a prerequisite that you must ‘complete’ in order to gain access.

To unlock multiplayer in Space Marine 2, you must finish the intro tutorial mission and speak to Captain Acheran.

After this has been done, you’ll have instant access to all multiplayer elements including both co-op and PVP.

Something to note here is that the tutorial isn’t your usual length – you will be spending some time here.

So, what you can do is start the mission, pause, and hit ‘Skip Intro’, which will certainly accelerate the process.

After all is done, you’ll need to use the ‘Edit Squad’ button in the top right and you’ll be able to invite friends to your game.

You will need to use the invite codes generated by the game to do so which adds another extra step but shouldn’t add too much time, as long as you’re in conversation with your squad.
