WALES striker Kieffer Moore was brutally kicked in the head during his side’s goalless draw with Turkey on Friday night.

The Sheffield United striker, 32, received the boot in the face from ex-Leicester defender Caglar Soyuncu as they tussled for the ball.

He was bandaged up around his forehead and carried on playing – having only come on as a substitute in the 72nd minute.

Soyuncu, 28, who had already been booked, avoided a second yellow card for the incident.

And Wales fans were quick to vocalise their admiration for Moore – who has found himself suffering head injuries on several occasions for his country.

One said: “Kieffer Moore proving yet again that his head appears to be made out of an amalgam of tungsten, steel, chromium and titanium.”

While another added: “Should add a ‘KM head injury’ to the bet builder.”

And a third replied: “No player has spilt more blood for his country than Kieffer Moore. he’s like f***** Ric Flair.”

WWE legend Flair, 75, was frequently seen with blood pouring from his head during his wrestling career.

The comparison was a nod to Moore’s dedication to playing for Wales as he put his body on the line once more.

Moore has scored 12 goals in 44 appearances for The Dragons.

Wales played the last half an hour against Turkey with a man advantage as Baris Alper Yilmaz was dismissed for a second yellow card.

But they failed to find a breakthrough in Cardiff as Craig Bellamy‘s first game as manager ended in a stalemate.

Speaking after the game, Bellamy said: “[The players were] outstanding. We’ve had a lot of work this week. There have been a lot of meetings and I am always conscious of a load of information going into the players in a short space of time.

“But they were great this week and that gives you confidence. Believe me, this is the worst we are going to be. The more we learn, the more we spend together, the finer details.

“It’s such a good start, but there’s way more to come from this team.

“I am not a master at this after one game, trust me. But I enjoyed it. It was a great country to play against in your first game and I am really happy.”
