Glowing up a new OSU gameday tradition in Stillwater

STILLWATER, Okla. (KFOR) — As the 2024 NCAA football season kicks off its second week; the Oklahoma State Athletics, Visit Stillwater, and Downtown Stillwater want Stillwater to shine orange with their new community initiative.

The new after dark campaign called #OrangeGlow calls upon Stillwater residents and business owners to light up the town by changing their porch lights to orange bulbs the night before home games and show their support for the Cowboys.

Orange light bulbs and LED lights that support color changing options can be found at most major retailers such as Home Depot, Lowes, Target, Walmart, Best Buy, and more.

The main goal behind #OrangeGlow is to create unity and a thrill among residents and visitors by donning a "sea of orange" that will be seen all across Stillwater.

The #OrangeGlow campaign started Friday, August 30 before Oklahoma State's home opener against South Dakota State and will continue throughout the season before OSU football home games.

Those participating can show their support by using the #OrangeGlow tag on social media sites with a picture of your residence or business shining with the orange lighting.
