I’m 48 & don’t have wrinkles – I began using a $14 buy at 16 & now rely on a ‘grandma’s basic’ but my ‘neck tells on me’

A 48-YEAR-OLD woman who is winning the battle against aging has opened up about her skincare routine over the years.

She said her face is totally wrinkle-free after decades of using anti-aging products, but she admitted to making a big mistake along the way.

Redditor Cheeziemccheeze dished on her regimen and how it evolved over the years in a post on the platform.

She called her contribution “advice from a 48-year-old woman.”

“[I’m] really delighted to see people taking better care of their skin these days,” she said.

She explained that she wanted to share her personal experience with anti-aging to help others.

HOW TO BE WRINKLE-FREE

Cheeziemccheeze said that her fascination with beauty started at a young age.

“My first job at 16 was at a cosmetic counter,” she recalled.

“They were really pushing Oil of Olay, at the time it was pink stuff. I worked selling the stuff, so I used it, too.

The formula is no longer pink, but the Olay Active Hydrating Skin Cream is still available for just under $16.

“Going into my 20s, L’Oreal came out with this product called ‘Line Eraser.’ I used that, too,” she continued.

The L’Oreal Plenitude Line Eraser Pure Retinol Intensive Action hasn’t been available for years, but the brand does offer an updated version.

The L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Derm Intensives Retinol Night Serum retails for $36.99 and is available at most drugstores.

The original poster added that between the ages of 30 and 45 she used Merle Norman products because she could afford them.

However, things took a turn when she “developed rosacea.”

“I can’t use heavy products anymore, so I use Vaseline — resort back to grandmother’s basics — and Eucerin,” she said.

She also cleans her face with baby wash.

The Reddit user wasn’t sure what brought on her skin condition, but the products she used did help her stave off wrinkles.

“My takeaway, I’m not sure if the heavy use of anti-aging products contributed to the rosacea, but I have no lines on my face,” she said.

“Jowls, yes, but no wrinkles.”

However, she ended her post with a warning.

“Here is the big one, I never [in] all those years used product on my throat and now my neck tells on me,” she said.

“So don’t forget to include your throat in your beauty regimen.”

The post drew in many Redditors who shared their thoughts on her age-defying secrets.

“I always apply to [my] neck and chest as well,” one said.

“Starting this in my 30s, I think I’m getting ahead of the game. Now only if I did it all sooner in life lol.”

“And your hands,” another advised. “I am in my late 30s and have wrinkly hands.”
