Jennifer Lopez Is Allegedly Ready to Spend an Exorbitant Amount on This Amid Ben Affleck Divorce

So, it seems Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are in for a long legal battle, and apparently money means nothing to Lopez, according to insiders.

Insiders recently told InTouch Weekly that Lopez will allegedly do a lot to avoid giving Affleck a check, and she’s seemingly going to pay out the wazoo for lawyer fees instead.

“She already feels so screwed over by Ben. Writing him a massive check is just the final insult, and it’s not something she’s going to just hand over,” they said. “It’s become very clear now that there’s no getting out of paying Ben half of what she made during their marriage, which is obviously not sitting well with her.”

For reference, per Celebrity Net Worth, Lopez has a net worth of $400 million, with around a yearly salary of $40 million. As for Affleck, he has a net worth of $150 million with an unknown yearly salary.

So because of this, Lopez is willing to drag this out, because she allegedly believes it’ll save her more money in the long run, and prevent her from paying her ex.

“She has enough money to drag this out, and frankly, she’d rather give the money to lawyers than Ben, so she’s given her team the go-ahead to stall as much as they can, no matter what it costs her in fees,” the source added to the outlet. “She’s pretty disgusted that he’d even consider taking money from her after the way he broke all his promises. It really proves he’s not the man she thought he was.”

Lopez has paid big in past divorces. In her first marriage to Cris Judd, Judd was awarded around $14 million from Lopez. So, she may be trying to avoid that.

Now, what does Affleck think> Allegedly, he’s excited about the potential major payday.

Sources told the outlet, “Ben is trying to play down the money aspect of it, but there’s no doubt it does represent a pretty decent payday. And he’s justifying taking it by saying he deserves every dime just for putting up with her and all her drama.”

For those who don’t know, Lopez and Affleck met on the set of the film Gigli. They started dating soon after and got engaged by the end of 2002, per People. In 2003, they postponed their wedding and then broke up days before, due to the paparazzi and pressure they faced, and were broken up by 2004.

Then, in 2021, Lopez and Affleck rekindled their romance. A year later, they got engaged and married in a lavish ceremony. Then, after months of speculation, per TMZ, Lopez filed for divorce on Aug. 20, noting the date of separation is April 26, 2024.
