'I'm going to scare people': Newsmax anchor 'sorry' after revealing vote for Obama

Conservative Newsmax host Lidia Curanaj apologized to viewers over the weekend after revealing she voted for President Barack Obama.

The admission came during a Sunday interview with former GOP candidate Larry Elder. Curanaj argued that Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris had misled the public about her record.

"It's not flip-flops. It's not like, say, J.D. Vance, how he changed his mind about President Trump," Curanaj explained. "I myself even changed my mind about President Trump."

"I'm going to scare people a little bit," she continued. "One of my first times I ever voted, I voted for Barack Obama."

Curanaj insisted that she did not vote for the former Democratic president a second time.

"I was young, impressionable," she insisted. "I didn't know any better. I'm sorry, everybody."

The host went on to say Harris had "spewed these radically left policies" before the current election.

"We need to stop saying she's flip-flopping," Curanaj argued. "She's a straight-up liar."

"Well, she's a straight-up Marxist," Elder replied.
