One person is dead in Shawnee County after two-vehicle crash

SHAWNEE COUNTY, KS. (KSNT) - One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Shawnee County.

Just after 2:00 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 8, the Shawnee County Emergency Communications Center received news of an injury accident near Northeast 62nd Street and Northeast Kincaid Road.

According to a release from the Shawnee County Sheriff's office, a Dodge sedan that was holding two people was southbound on NE Kincaid road while a Buick SUV holding four people was traveling eastbound on NE 62nd Street.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene, and four others were taken to a local hospital by AMR.

This accident is under investigation.
