‘No foul play’ after dead infant found cemetery

Foul play in the case of a dead infant found at a Nicosia cemetery has been ruled out, police sources have said.

Cyprus News Agency (CNA) sources said a woman found the dead baby in a Nicosia cemetery on Sunday and notified the police.

Investigations indicated that the baby had died in August during birth and had been buried by a priest.

Police said the infant may not have been buried deep enough and the soil had been washed away by rain or the grave had been dug up by an animal.
