U20 Women’s World Cup: Both Koreas into last 16 in Colombia
September 9 – Hosts Colombia will take on South Korea in the round of 16 in the Women’s World Cup after the Koreans stunned Germany. Argentina complete the knockout lineup.
The Colombians topped their group with a perfect record, defeating Mexico 1-0 in their final group game. They have been rewarded with a knockout tie against South Korea, who upset three-time champions Germany 1-0.
Notwithstanding defeat, the Germans will face Argentina in the knockout stages.
