Suspect driving converted ambulance wanted for sex crimes in two states

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Oregon State Police are searching for a suspect wanted for sex crimes against children in two states.

According to OSP, they are working with the Mobile Police Department to find Adam Renk, 39, who is wanted in both Oregon and Alabama for charges including first-degree unlawful sexual penetration, first-degree sodomy and first-degree sexual abuse.

In June 2024, OSP said that detectives responded to a sexual abuse disclosure that had been made by a minor saying that Renk had been involved.

During the investigation, detectives said they also learned that Renk had been involved with another case in Alabama where he was charged with child sexual abuse and the torture of an 11-year-old victim.

Authorities in Alabama as well as the U.S. Marshall's Office are searching for Renk who posted bond and was released from pre-trial custody in Alabama.

Renk was last seen leaving Alabama on Aug. 7. He is believed to be traveling in a converted Ford Ambulance painted two-tone white over gray.
