Hoda Kotb & Jenna Bush Hager Claim Anna Wintour Told Them to 'Quiet Down' at U.S. Open 2024

Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager‘s behavior at the 2024 U.S. Open did not impress Anna Wintour.

Over the weekend, the two Today hosts, along with Savannah Guthrie, attended the men’s finals on Sunday, September 8 where they cheered on American player Taylor Fritz (who ended up losing to Italy’s Jannik Sinner).

During the match, however, Hoda and Jenna‘s behavior resulted in them getting scolded by the 74-year-old Vogue Editor-in-Chief, who was sitting not too far from them.

Keep reading to find out more…“We were loud and annoying,” Hoda admitted on the Monday (Sept. 9) episode of Today With Hoda & Jenna.

Although Hoda said “tennis is fun,” Jenna revealed that Anna did not like their boisterous behavior.

“I think Anna Wintour asked us to quiet down,” Jenna said, before Hoda confirmed, “She did.”

Jenna then said claimed that tennis legend Stan Smith, who was also sitting near them at the match, enjoyed their cheering and allegedly told them, “You need to be louder.”

Despite the minor incident with Anna, Hoda and Jenna had a blast at the match.

“One of the things that we did, we ate snacks,” Jenna said with a laugh. “There was a moment where Hoda had an ice cream bar, I had a large sandwich, Savannah had a drink.”

“We had the bucket of M&Ms,” Hoda added, which Jenna confirmed.

“I was like, this is a great ESPN shot,” she added. “We were chowing down.”
