Michigan carnival company ordered to pay back wages and travel expenses to H-2B visa workers

The Standish, Michigan-based carnival firm, T.J. Schmidt & Company, settled with the US Labor Department and agreed to pay $72,253.85 in back wages and travel expenses it defrauded 32 temporary migrant workers in 2021.
