Bobby Beale’s exit storyline revealed as he catches Anna Knight cheating in EastEnders

UPCOMING EastEnders scenes lay the groundwork for Bobby Beale’s impending exit.

In April, The Sun exclusively reported actor Clay Milner Russell had quit the soap after five years.

Scenes yet to air show the unfolding drama from Anna’s (Molly Rainford) discovery that she’s pregnant with Bobby’s baby.

Past history is set to rear its head, with Bobby unwittingly walking in to find Anna and his best mate Freddie (Bobby Brazier) sharing a kiss.

Anna had insisted to Gina that she’s happy about the pregnancy, but her older sister discovers Anna’s been dodging Bobby’s calls.

After she admits she’s not ready to have a baby, Gina implores Anna to explore options.

While hanging out with the couple, Freddie (Bobby Brazier) uses Anna’s laptop and sees details of the clinic.

Begging him to keep her secret – she admits she’s having an abortion and Bobby can never know.

Determined to head to the clinic alone, she brushes her boyfriend off when he invites her out.

Freddie catches up with Anna and tries to convince her to tell Bobby the truth, but she refuses.

While at Beale’s Eels, Bobby is stunned when Peter (Thomas Law) shares Lauren’s (Jacqueline Jossa) theory that Anna could be pregnant.

His dad Ian (Adam Woodyatt) advises Bobby to talk to Anna so they can deal with this together.

Meanwhile, at the clinic, Anna talks through her options and decides to have an abortion.

She’s touched to find Freddie in the waiting room, who takes Anna back to The Vic.

They share an emotional moment and end up kissing, unaware that Bobby has walked in.

Freddie rushes after Bobby, who accuses his pal of getting Anna pregnant.

Martin (James Bye) restrains Bobby, just as Anna arrives and insists this is not what he thinks.

Bobby and Anna storm into the Beale house mid-argument, while all hell breaks loose.

It was previously reported actor Clay decided to leave the soap to pursue other roles.

EastEnders stars who QUIT

MICHELLE Collins has seen her second EastEnders stint boost her bank balance. Yet what stars have quit this year?

The Sun exclusively reported how Michelle, 62, was down to £20,000 in her company accounts when she agreed to a shock back-from-the-dead return to Albert Square last year.

Her character, Cindy Beale, was presumed dead off-camera in 1998.

Yet what about the 2024 exits?

Earlier this summer, loyal soap fans appeared to note how Stevie Mitchell had “quit” the long-running series.

It came after Alan Ford enjoyed just six-months on-screen.

Bobby Beale actor Clay Milner Russell also left this year after five years in Walford.

Fans also feared Martin Fowler actor James Bye would “quit out of boredom” over recent storylines.

Additionally, a host of stars have quit the BBC soap for Hollywood fame.

One of the most successful stars to come from the BBC One soap is Rob Kazinsky.

He played Stacey Slater’s brother Sean Slater from 2006 to 2009, he has starred in Hollywood blockbusters Pacific Rim and Captain Marvel.

Ben Hardy, who quit EastEnders as Bobby Beale almost a decade ago, went on to break Hollywood the following year, when he starred as Archangel in X-Men: Apocalypse.

Since then, he has played Roger Taylor in Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, and he starred in Michael Bay’s Netflix movie 6 Underground.

Michelle Ryan played Zoe Slater until 2005.

She starred as the lead in short-lived American series Bionic Woman from 2007 to 2008.

A source said at the time: “Clay’s a talented actor and he’s ambitious.

“He was never going to stay in EastEnders forever. He’s loved playing Bobby but he became an actor to play all kinds of roles and he wants to do that.

“The door is being left open but for now it’s a definite goodbye.”

EastEnders airs on BBC One and is available on iPlayer.
