UT students can now claim 'reserved student tickets' for Longhorn football games
AUSTIN (KXAN) -- University of Texas students now have a new ticket option for Longhorn football games at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
Big Ticket holders can claim a "reserved student ticket," which will be located in the upper level of sections 121-125.
UT said it added the new option after "receiving and reviewing thoughtful feedback about the student section at our home game."
The reserved student ticket option will be available starting with this week's Texas football game against the University of Texas San Antonio on Saturday at 6 p.m.
UT said the benefits of claiming a reserved ticket include:
- Flexibility in arrival time as all reserved student ticket holders will have a designated seat
- Separate entry for reserved student ticket holders on the stadium's east side
- Easier come-and-go experience for students to access concourse amenities (concessions, restrooms, etc.)
More information about the claim process will be sent Monday. Big Ticket holders will continue to claim tickets beginning at the following times:
- Tuesdays at Noon for Big Ticket holders with Longhorn Foundation student memberships
- Wednesdays at Noon for all Big Ticket holders
- All Big Ticket holders who claim a mobile student ticket (either general admission lower level OR reserved upper level) are guaranteed entry on gameday. The entry process for Big Ticket holders who claim a general admission lower-level student ticket will remain the same with entry at Gate 25 beginning three hours prior to kick-off.
Reserved upper-level tickets do not gain entry into the lower-level general admission student section. Reserved ticket holders will not be permitted to enter at Gate 25 as that gate is reserved for lower-level general admission ticket holders only. No wristband is needed if you have a reserved ticket as your seat location is listed on your ticket.
