FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Happy Tuesday!
We continue our warming trend in Central Ohio, with highs into the middle 80s by this afternoon. Winds will be light, with comfortable humidity. We'll see mainly sunny skies, with a little bit of a haze to the air as wildfire smoke from out west mixes into our upper levels. Air quality should generally still be safe for most of the population.
Warming continues the next couple of days, with highs in the upper 80s Wednesday, with continued sunshine. We'll be near 90 by Thursday, with increasing cloud coverage.
Those clouds build out ahead of tropical remnants, from Tropical Storm Francine, which is expected to make landfall as a hurricane on the South Texas/Louisiana coastline midweek. Those remnants make their way up the Mississippi River Valley late-week, bringing lower-end rain chances to Central Ohio Friday through Monday.
Once the storm makes landfall, the precipitation chances will be more clear. At the very least, we're looking at cloud coverage, with the best rain chances in our southern counties.
