Brett Favre Makes Bold Prediction About Aaron Rodgers' Upcoming Jets Season
Brett Favre recently sat down for an interview with TMZ Sports, during which he made a bold prediction about Aaron Rodgers and his upcoming season with the New York Jets.
Rodgers infamously missed out on the 2023–2024 season when he tore his Achilles tendon during last year’s opening game. The legendary QB later called it a “lost year,” having played only three snaps.
But Rodgers’ former Green Bay Packers teammate has a different set of expectations for this season. “Say what you want about Aaron, but he’s arguably the greatest playmaker in the game right now," Favre said. "He can, for lack of a better term, make chicken salad out of chicken s--t pretty quickly,” he added. “I’ve said this any time someone asks me about it.”
Favre continued: “Now, he got hurt last year, and we know what happened to the Jets. But I think with their defense, and with Aaron healthy, there’s no reason they can’t compete for the AFC championship.”
In Favre’s opinion, the Jets have what it takes to steal the championship but simply need to have more confidence in their offense. Rodgers, he thinks, can bridge this gap.
“Their defense is outstanding, they just need to score points and have some confidence on the offensive side,” Favre reasoned. “He’s got offensive weapons. He’s gonna make something happen. He’s just gotta stay healthy.”
Rodgers will make his (hopefully) triumphant return to the field on Monday night when the 49ers host the Jets at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, CA.
