Average onion prices at Rs 58/kg in Delhi: Govt data

Onion prices in New Delhi remain high at Rs 58 per kg due to tight supply. The government has started retail sales of onions at a subsidized rate of Rs 35 per kg in Delhi-NCR and Mumbai. The kharif sown area has increased, and about 38 lakh tonnes of onion are still in storage.
