Chris McCausland is one of 15 celebrities set to strut their stuff on the next series.

As fans get ready for Strictly’s big launch show this weekend, they think they have spotted a telltale “clue” who the comedian will be paired up with.

To get fans excited about the new series, the BBC have released promo videos of each of the stars taking part.

In Chris’ video, he introduces himself and talks about how he feels about going on Strictly Come Dancing.

But there was one thing he did that made fans think they have worked out who his pro dance partner is.

It came after he made the rock and roll sign with his hand – this is where you keep your middle two fingers and thumb down and point out the rest of your fingers.

Fans were quick to observe this was something that legendary pro Dianne Buswell often does in her videos.

One wrote: “The (emoji of the rock and roll sign)  is something Dianne does with lots of her fans, I’ve seen it in a few photos of her and the girls that go to the tours.”

While another said: “Look what coincidentally came up next to each other on my YouTube feed….

“Definitely a stretch and just a weird coincidence but maybe a sign who knows.”

British comedian and actor Chris, who has appeared in shows including Eastenders and Have I Got News for You, will be the show’s first blind contestant.

The Liverpudlian lost his sight when he was 22 to a hereditary condition called retinitis pigmentosa.

He hopes to follow in the footsteps of actress Rose Ayling-Ellis, the show’s first deaf contestant, who won in 2021.

Chris will make a bid for the Glitterball Trophy prize, alongside other celebrity contestants showcasing their fancy footwork, including Towie’s Pete Wicks and singer Toya Wilcox.

However while their professional dance partners are yet to be officially announced, eagle-eyed fans believe they already know who Chris’s pro partner will be.

The official pairings will be announced during Strictly’s launch show on Saturday, September 14, 2024.
