Dior presents My Dior bracelets
Dior has announced the launch of its latest collection, My Dior, a tribute to the House’s history and heritage, highlighting the iconic cannage.
The graphic pattern of cannage adorned the Napoleon III chairs in the haute couture salons that welcomed Christian Dior’s guests for his first fashion show in 1947.
This inspiration also invokes the Dior Joaillerie Artistic Director’s childhood memories of her visits to the Dior boutique and the women she encountered there.
The pieces are made of yellow gold, rose gold and white gold unveiled in monochrome or two-tone versions, sometimes exquisitely paved with diamonds.
The different elements of a My Dior bracelet are affixed and assembled one by one, in nine steps carried out by hand.
The ancestral process of lost-wax casting produces an intricate cannage grid, where the gold is revealed in the form of woven straw.
Once it has been mirror-polished to a luminous finish, a gold band is inserted and diamond setting and final polishing complete the crafting of these exceptional pieces.
