Heart concert at MVP Arena canceled, other tour dates rescheduled
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- In July, the rock band Heart had to postpone the rest of their 2024 Royal Flush Tour dates due to medical reasons. On Monday, the band released their rescheduled tour dates, however, the Albany concert date was not listed.
NEWS10 confirmed with MVP Arena that the Heart concert has officially been canceled. Those who had tickets will be getting refunds to their original payment method within the next 30 days.
Heart’s concert at MVP Arena was originally scheduled for August 10 with special guest Cheap Trick. At the time of the postponement, fans were told to hold on to their ticket until a new date was announced.
"We are hoping that Heart will be able to return to the Capital Region in the future," said MVP Arena.
On X, Ann Wilson revealed that she underwent surgery to remove something that was cancerous. Her doctors advised her to go through preventative chemotherapy and she is planning to be back on stage in 2025.
Heart was founded in 1973 by sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson. They are best known for the songs “Barracuda,” “Crazy on You,” and “Alone,” as well as many other hits.
