Defence Ministry clears Navy's Rs 2,500 crore plan for unmanned vessels with capabilities to attack submarines

The Defence Ministry has approved the Indian Navy's Rs 2,500 crore plan to build 100-tonne unmanned underwater vessels. These vessels will enhance the Navy's capabilities in underwater operations, including mine laying, surveillance, and launching weapons. A tender for the project will be issued soon under the Aatmanirbharta initiative.
