Lidl shoppers go wild for middle-aisle find scanning at tills for just £1.49 – it’s perfect to put away for next summer
CANNY shoppers are going wild for a middle-aisle bargain at Lidl which scans at the tills for only £1.49.
The folding camping chairs could be “perfect” to store away now so they’re ready for next summer.
One bargain hunter took to a Facebook group to spread the word.
They wrote on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group: “Folding camping chairs £1.49 in middle of Lidl atm.
“Poole Branksome had loads this afternoon.”
Branksome is a suburb of Poole in Dorset.
Along with their comments they posted an image of the chair and their receipt.
While there might be plenty in stock at the minute, shoppers are advised that middle-aisle items in the bargain supermarket do tend to sell out quickly and won’t always be in store.
It’s always best to phone ahead to your local shop to check what they have available to avoid disappointment.
Other shoppers with an eye for a bargain were suitably impressed.
One, who tagged in their pal, wrote: “What we need.”
Another admitted: “Whilst I don’t need one that is dirt cheap.”
While a third added: “Perfect for next summer.”
A fourth person simply posted: “OMG.”

Shein is currently selling a cloth folding chair for £2.75, although there is a £3 delivery fee on top of that.
Amazon has a folding camping chair for £9.99, along with a £2.49 delivery charge if you don’t have Prime.
Ebay currently has a “folding patio chair” for £4.91.
How to save money at Lidl
There are other ways to save on your next Lidl shop.
The retailer’s Waste Not boxes come with around five kilos of fruit and vegetables inside and cost just £1.50.
They can be picked up from your local Lidl branch, which you can find by using the retailer’s store locator tool.
The only catch is that the fruit and veg is slightly damaged, discoloured or deteriorated, although it is still good to eat.
Yellow sticker bargains are another way to bag yourself perfectly good produce at a discount.
Supermarkets add these labels to items when they are coming to the end of their shelf life, or are slightly damaged.
Lidl tends to reduce its items twice throughout the day – once in the morning and once at the end of the day.
