Megan Thee Stallion Wears White Pointed Toe Pump Shoe to Host the 2024 MTV VMAs
For her hosting duties at MTV’s 2024 Video Music Awards, Megan Thee Stallion has a lot to do. From making a black carpet appearance, to a performance, and a series of skits between award presentations and performances, the star has her work cut out for her.
But working with stylist and longtime collaborator Eric Archibald, she has it all mapped out. Including for one skit, in which the rapper appeared in an ode to the recently passed Olympics in a leotard and white pointed toe pumps.
The rapper wore a leotard styled after a possible Team USA uniform onstage. In place of the letters USA, the look read VMAs. “Tonight, VMA stands for the Voluptuous Megan Awards,” she said into the mic. The custom look included an embellished representation of the American flag across the front. She wore her hair in a bob style featuring a bang that curled under in the front.
With it, Megan wore fishnet tights over a pair of sheer nude tights. Ad she wore a pair of classic white leather pumps. The shoes feature a pointed toe and a simple, rounded vamp. They likely measure between three and four inches in height.
Pumps or court shoes are classic staples of a woman’s wardrobe. In solid, neutral olors they can pose as the Swiss army knives of a woman’s shoe wardrobe, matched with a variety of looks from the most casual to the most formal and ornate.
Most women’s footwear brands offer them in some iteration. And while some have differentiating attributes like Balenciaga’s knife silhouette which incorporates sharp points or the back of the Alaia pump which is tall, creating a pronounced A shape, they can often be indistinguishable from one another.
White pumps, in particular, also serve for bridal parties.
