Man, 74, killed while crossing intersection in Brooklyn hit-and-run: NYPD

BAY RIDGE, Brooklyn (PIX11) – A 74-year-old man was killed Wednesday night in a Brooklyn hit-and-run, according to the NYPD.

It happened on Ridge Boulevard in Bay Ridge close to 9 p.m. Police said the pedestrian was crossing the intersection from west to east when he was struck by what appeared to be a white SUV.

The vehicle fled the scene, according to authorities. The victim was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators were seen checking surveillance cameras in the area to track down the driver and using high-tech drone equipment to recreate the scene.
