Girl, 14, threatened with gun while she was robbed in the Bronx: NYPD

BEDFORD PARK, the Bronx (PIX11) – A 14-year-old girl was threatened with a gun while she was robbed in the Bronx on Wednesday, according to the NYPD.

The victim was walking on East 198th Street in Bedford Park around 7 a.m. when she was approached from behind by a man, police said. The man is accused of snatching her necklace, and when the teen turned around, he displayed a gun, according to authorities.

Police said the victim dropped her cellphone as a result. The suspect allegedly stole her phone and fled the scene going northbound on Valentine Avenue.

The necklace and cellphone are valued at $2,600.

The suspect is described as being between 27 to 33 years old. He was last seen wearing all-black clothing.
