Bella Hadid Keeps It Western in Vintage Cavalli Corset and Brown Dior Cowboy Boots in New York
Bella Hadid headed out to a dinner date with her boyfriend Adan Banuelos on Wednesday night. The pair coordinated their Western-inspired wardrobe for the trip to Zero Bond —Banuelos is an actual cowboy. As Hadid is a fan of vintage pieces, it is little surprise that the model chose pre-loved pieces for her look, including a leather bustier, denim skirt and a pair of cowboy boots featuring a wooden heel.
Hadid’s top is a vintage Roberto Cavalli piece featuring a mustard colored yellow bustier that zips up the front as well as printed shoulder straps. The item hails from the 1990s. The fashion plate matched it with a denim skirt also from Roberto Cavalli that featured large brown leather patch pockets on the back. The midi skirt is a medium wash and features an animal print trim.
To anchor the look, Hadid slid into a pair of John Galliano-era Christian Dior boots. The shoes are a Gaucho style for the brand. Made of brown leather, they come as high as the mid shin and feature pull taps. In addition, they include cutouts toward the top of the leg. The boots also include a wooden heel covered in leather. The footwear also features contrast stitching throughout. Rapper Latto has also been spotted in the boots previously.
This isn’t the first time that Hadid has worn these boots. In August she matched them with Daisy Duke shorts while in Los Angeles. And just in July she was wearing another pair of cowboy boots: photographed in the Chelsea area of New York City, she wore a pair of M. L. Leddy boots. That company handmakes their boots in Texas and sells a variety of other Western gear.
Hadid’s current infatuation with the aesthetic is likely multifold: horse riding is in her roots as she used to ride for competition. She also relocated to Texas which is closer to her horse riding boyfriend. But, cowboy boots have been trending recently. Notably Beyonce made the silhouette a cornerstone of her style.
