‘The cutest knitwear you ever did see’ squeals Primark worker as she tries on £13 autumn gem in store
AUTUMN is just around the corner, and shoppers are already racing to Primark to snap up some knitwear for the chillier months.
Fashion lovers have been in a frenzy over a cosy-looking £13 cardigan with large buttons after spotting them in stores.
If you want to snap up the bargain item, you can find it in the budget retailer in a number of colours – dark grey, light grey and light blue.
And if you’re lucky, you might also find Primark’s similar-looking viral autumn jumper on the returns rack.
Available in four colours, including autumn’s on-trend oxblood, it is completely sold out online and in stores.
Primark bosses have even hailed it as the “best knitted jumper for 2024”.
But if you’re looking to add a jumper to your wardrobe now, there’s another one that staff are raving about.
The white cropped jumper features three black and white bows stitched across the front.
Bows are still very much on-trend, making it the perfect transitional piece into the colder months.
And dare we say it, the bows could make it the perfect candidate for a subtle Christmas jumper.
Modelling the bargain jumper in Glasgow’s Sauchiehall Street store, a member of staff gushed: “The cutest knitwear you ever did see. Only £13!!!!”
But it’s not available on the website for click and collect, so you’ll need to be quick to bag it in store.
Elsewhere in store, shoppers have been left divided over Rita Ora’s latest collection which has been compared to a school uniform.
The ‘Lazy Daze’ autumn range dropped in stores across the country on Tuesday with items starting from just £3.
Offering old school vibes with new school attitude, it features classic, preppy pieces for the modern trendsetter.
Primark bosses said: “Rita’s style school has arrived! The best part? No exams, just first-class fashion for AW24 and beyond.”
The collection includes a £22 buckle pleated midi skirt with a check design, a £14 oversized polo sweatshirt and a pleated mini skirt for £14.
There’s also a variety of knitted vests for the “grandpacore” look.
But some fashion fans say it’s not passing the style test.
“It all will be on sale soon for £5”, joked one person.
Someone else insisted: “Rita Ora would never wear this.”
“Rita Ora … the ting flopped”, sighed another.
And a fourth sighed: “Rita Ora’s collections are so random.”
Why is Primark the place to go for bargains?

- They “sell a lot of items” – Thanks to that, they are able to make savings by buying in bulk for their 191 UK stores

- While their clothes offer the “latest trends”, they “don’t use expensive hangers, tags or labels”.
- And lastly, they try to be “as efficient as possible when transporting products from factories to stores”. This includes things like asking “suppliers to pack our t-shirts so they are ready to go straight on shelf”.
