How often Brits REALLY have sex revealed – & their favourite time to get frisky – so how does your love life match up?

A NEW survey has lifted the lid on the sex lives of thousands of people across the world – so, how does YOUR relationship match up?

After years of being seen as a taboo subject, researchers from Pour Moi have finally revealed the day and the exact time of the week that couples are most likely to get frisky.

According to the study, it’s Saturday that’s the favourite day for people to have sex, with the majority enjoying a pre-sleep romp at 10.09pm, Daily Mail reported.

”It is the weekend evenings that seem to be the most popular time for people to feel at their most relaxed and ready to enjoy time with their partner,” said Marina Nicoli, Marketing Manager at Pour Moi.

For the survey, the study enlisted 2,000 adults from around the world, including the UK, Ireland, USA and neighbouring Canada, who were either in relationships, dating, or sexually active.

The surveyed participants were asked to spill the beans on the specific days and times they tend to get nookie, as well as how often they have a cheeky quickie.

The data revealed that Saturday is the favourite day for many people to get jiggy, with a staggering 43 per cent saying this is their preferred day for bedroom antics.

This was followed by Friday (22 per cent), Sunday (10 per cent), Thursday (six per cent), Wednesday (five per cent), Tuesday (four per cent), and Monday (two per cent).

Meanwhile, when it comes to the ideal time to bonk, late-night hours were found to dominate.

More than a third said they prefer to romp between 22:00 and 00:00, with 80 per cent agreeing that the ”sweet spot” is specifically 22:09.

The second most popular window of time for some action was between 20:00 and 22:00 (27 per cent).

The least sexy time proved to be the early hours of the morning, with only a mere four per cent choosing to engage in the activity between 06:00 and 08:00.

”Any time before 6:00 pm is generally considered to be the least raunchy time throughout the day, with the least sexy time of the week being revealed as 1:02 pm on Monday,” Pour Moi explained.

”So if you’re partial to a lunchtime bedroom pitstop to kick the week off, you’re among the more unique couples around the world.”

The survey also revealed how often people get nookie, with nearly half (48 per cent) reporting having sex once a week, while 19 per cent said they have sex twice a week.

According to the saucy poll, just one per cent of participants reported daily sexual activity.

”When asked how often adults would like to have sex, it was revealed that twice a week is most people’s ideal amount of sex,” Pour Moi added.

”’Interestingly, women between the ages of 25 and 45 have the highest drive for intimacy stating four times a week would be ideal, compared to twice a week for men in the same age group.”

This comes after The Sun revealed how often you should really be having sex depending on your age – and it’s not good news for Gen Z.

”Gen Z and Boomers exhibited nearly identical sexual frequencies, suggesting that both the youngest and oldest adults are having the least sex,” the researchers, led by Dr Justin Lehmiller, wrote in the report.

”Also, nearly half of Gen Z reported that they were single, compared to only one-fifth of Millennials, Gen X, and Boomers.”
