Suspect hospitalized after early morning shooting by officer in Salem

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- One person was hospitalized after being shot by an officer early Friday morning in Salem, authorities said.

According to Salem police, the shooting happened near Wallace Marine Park.

Information is limited, but authorities said the suspect was taken to the hospital and that no officers were injured.

During the investigation, Glen Creek Road is closed between Cornucopia Street and the Wallace Marine Park entrance.
