Dinesh Karthik gives Honest Judgement on India vs Bangladesh Test: ‘Didn’t think Bangladesh Will…’
Ex Indian star Dinesh Karthik has a strong belief that Bangladesh might not cause a notable challenge to Indian team. After they secured a historic whitewash against Pakistan, they will start a two-match Test series against India. The Bangla Tigers are yet to secure a victory over India in Test cricket, though they have suffered 11 defeats and two draws so far.
“I personally don’t think that Bangladesh will give India a tough time. Beating India in India is a humongous task, and although Bangladesh has played well in Pakistan, I don’t believe they’ll trouble India much,” Karthik told on Cricbuzz.
Even though Bangladesh has improved their game in Test cricket, the idea of defeating India especially in their own ground poses a significant challenge.
Team India has started gearing up for the series. Players such as Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have joined the squad after an extended rest period since their tour of Sri Lanka.
Karthik also gave out a rough idea on the bowling setup for this Test series. He believes India might go with three seamers in their team and not let Bangladesh exploit their spin attack.
“I get the feeling India’s going to play on slightly pace-oriented pitches, knowing that it’s a good way to beat Bangladesh. Also, they will be preparing for the Australian Test series. I think they will only play with two spinners—Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja—followed by three fast bowlers,” he further told.
