The season so far
The visit of Greenock Morton is only Queen’s Park’s second home match in The Championship this season. The first was a credible 1-1 draw with Livingston with the three away games played seeing a win over Airdrieonians sandwiched between disappointments at Falkirk and Partick Thistle.
Jack Turner’s sixth goal of the season last weekend was enough to see off Edinburgh City and secure progression to the next stage of The SPFL Trust Trophy Cup with Morton also in the last sixteen after seeing off Cowdenbeath a week ago.
In the league Dougie Imrie’s side sit in eighth place on three points from their four games in comparison to Queen’s who reside two places above with a point more.
In the Premier Sports Cup Morton defeated Brechin City and Alloa Athletic however defeats from East Fife and St Johnstone ended their hopes of progression.
Their William Hill Championship campaign opened up with goalless draws against Partick Thistle and Hamilton Accies before a 1-1 tie with Livingston. Their last league outing was a painful one as a 2-0 lead was turned into a 3-2 defeat from visitors Falkirk.
Morton will come to Glasgow determined to get their first three-point haul and move above the hosts in the table.
