Queens Night Market returns with $5 bites from around the world

QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Get ready to satisfy your late night cravings at the Queens Night Market.

The annual food festival returns in its ninth year to Flushing Meadows Corona Park starting at 4 p.m. on Saturday and lasting through midnight. If you can’t get to it this weekend, you’ll have more chances as the market will run every Saturday through Oct. 26th.

The open-air event features dozens of food vendors with a price cap of $5 to $6 on all items to eat and drink. Visitors will be able to taste cuisines from around the world including native dishes from Trinidad, Tibet, Venezuela, Sudan, Pakistan, Poland, and much more.

As foodies grab a bite to eat, they can shop from various art and merchandise sellers while DJs and performers provide the soundtrack for the night’s festivities.

Organizers will also host the fundraiser gala “Evening Under the Sphere 2024” on Sept. 26 which will benefit the pro bono work of the Alliance for Flushing Meadows Corona Park. Tickets for the gala are available online starting at $54.

Queens Night Market will wrap up on Oct. 26th with its annual Halloween party. Festival goers are encouraged to put on their spookiest costumes to take part in contests and trick-or-treating.

The Night Market has welcomed more than 3 million visitors and has represented more than 95 countries since its inception in 2015. It has also helped launch as many as 450 new businesses in New York City.
